Max is finally here. I have hoped and prayed for this day for so long. Except when it was finally time, I was the only one in denial. I really thought St. V's was going to send me home after they checked me and I would be induced on Monday. My little boy had other plans. Even without the epi, I would have to say that the birth of our son is probably the most beautiful day of my life, only compared to the day I married Jeff.
Some insights I have had as a mother ( so far) :
God is good.
Sleep is not overrated.
Poop can be very stimulating conversation.
Real men change diapers.
No one can describe to you, the depth of love you will feel for your child.
If you are a small person and your husband is a relatively small person, you will not have a big baby.
And your child is always just a tad bit cuter than any other child on Earth, no matter how objective you try to be.
