Lucas left our home today to embark on his educational journey. I delighted in the fact that he has an older brother who was so proud to show him around and introduce everyone to him. He was so happy to be attending school. Mostly, because the bathrooms are decorated in a train motif. Some of us are motivated by money and fame but Lucas, he is motivated by anything to do with a locomotive. He even got to be the Line Leader today, which has been a hope of his since Max has told him all about it.
He looked so much smaller going into a sea of preschoolers. But, if anyone can conquer this world without any apron strings attached it's my boy Lucas. I am sure he will charm the pants of his new teachers and friends just like he does everyone in his family. I will miss him at home but I am excited for him as he discovers a world outside of our home.

wow, yay for lucas! can't believe it's that time for him already. what a great photo -- you can just see the excitement and pride on his face. can't wait to hear about the trains in the bathroom...maybe they say "poop poop!" instead of "choo choo!"
what are you going to do all morning with just your girls?!
I can't wait to send Ginger off to preschool ... but who knows maybe I'll cry a little. I'm counting down the months to next Fall when I can have some time to myself. I miss you. I've been focusing on REALLY easy meals these days and since you asked for recipes once it makes me think of you (something tells me you might appreciate easy?). Love you, Deb
I love his face and smile!
